Halloween mobile

This project was pretty easy and fairly inexpensive.

I bought some spider web coasters from Michaels and a large felt spider for the middle. I also bought an embroidery hoop to hang everything from. I had some fishing line and black craft paint already.

I painted the embroidery hoop with the black paint and took the hardware off and glued the two rings together - if you don't take the hardware off then the hoop won't hang evenly because it will be too heavy on one side. Then make a criss-cross pattern around the hoop with the fishing line so you have something to hang the spider from in the middle. I also made a hoop in the fishing line to use to hang the mobile from when it was done. Then cut varying lengths of the fishing line and attach to the web coasters and tie around the edges of the hoop.

Sorry about the picture quality, I took these at night in my kitchen but hopefully you can see how I tied the fishing line. It was also super hard to take a picture of the mobile while hanging, but here's a few shots:
